January is Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month! We have two options to encourage you and your family to get out there and EXPERIENCE winter:

During the month of January our “First Turns” Learn to Ski or Snowboard package is 20% off! For $39 (normally $49), new skiers and boarders receive a beginner lift ticket (Magic Carpet and Round Top Quad), rentals and a lesson. (Offer not valid Jan. 14-16 and may not be combined with any other offer or discount)
January 7-13: Family Learn to Ski & Board Week! Families with two or more generations skiing or boarding together receive discounted rates on our First Turns Learn to Ski or Board Package which includes beginner lift ticket (Magic Carpet and Round Top Quad), rental, and lesson. Ages 17 & under $25; Adults $35.

To take advantage of either offer, come downstairs to Guest Services in the main lodge and a Swain customer service representative will help you get started. After you sign up in Guest Servies, you will proceed to the Rental Shop where you will be measured and properly fitted for equipment and after you are geared up, you will be directed to the learning area. A friendly instructor will then then teach you the basics of skiing or snowboarding!

Whiteface Offers $59 Learn to Ski and Snowboard Packages

WILMINGTON, N.Y. --- There's never been a better time to learn to ski or ride than January, during the National Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month. The first 31 days of the new year are dedicated as the national month to learn a new snow sport and hundreds of alpine and Nordic ski resorts in 22 states, will be offering discounts and specials on lessons, rentals and lift tickets.

The goal of the Learn to Ski and Snowboard month is to get American families on the slopes and enjoy a healthy winter lifestyle. Organizers are hoping that more than 150,000 children and adults will take ski and snowboard lessons from a professional instructor. Last January an estimated 75,000 children and adults participated in the program.

Hunter Mountain Participates in the National Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month

Beginners can learn to ski or ride at Hunter Mountain with an amazing offer in the month of January

Hunter, NY – Hunter Mountain will be participating in the national initiative to encourage people to learn to ski or snowboard in the month of January. Any individual who purchases a Single Pak at Hunter Mountain Sunday through Friday, non-holiday, in the month of January will receive a second Single Pak free! This free Single Pak can be redeemed Sunday-Friday, non-holiday in the months of January and February. First timers will also be given a group photo with their instructor to remember the experience.
